Will we be using data from the SIS file to map users to a career community?
Which SIS data field should we use to map career communities?
Major/Program of Study
Most clients prefer to use student major to map to an associated career community but it is also common to to see academic college used. For non-university clients this can be whatever associated enrollment that makes the most sense.
Which populations do we expect to see in the SIS file?
These will be your primary user types for tagging and communications. We will use this data to ensure we are seeing the right users when reviewing the SIS integration. More specific designations can be called out by selecting other and filling out the note below.

Please describe any specific populations we should expect to map to a unique group within your uConnect platform. For example, some clients might target MBA students distinctly from other grad students.

Please indicate any additional communities we should expect within the SIS file. We will look for an associated community group within your uConnect platform to match against.

uConnect has the ability to configure advanced configurations to best align with each client. Please review these options, or provide these questions to a member of your IT staff if needed.
Desired SIS Sync Frequency
uConnect can process your SIS file either nightly or weekly. For weekly syncs, the sync happens late Friday or early Saturday EST time
How should we handle removing users through SIS?
Drop users who no longer appear in SIS file
Keep users, we will provide a DELETE entry in the SIS file for those that need to removed
Keep users, We will remove or migrate users manually
uConnect has the ability to handle user removal automatically or allow clients to handle this behavior on their own. Please review details for SIS file configuration to learn more about how to configure programmatic removal.
