Product Roadmap: May Recap + June Priorities

Gearing up for a big summer!

For many of us in the higher ed world, summer is a chance to tackle those high impact projects that always seem to fall to the wayside in the fall and spring when students are on campus. At uConnect, we have big things planned to make this summer as productive and organized as possible to truly set you up for success in the new year. Before we dive into what we have planned for June, let’s start with a quick recap of the highlights from May.

If you have questions on anything mentioned below, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us at support@gouconnect.com!

May Recap

uConnect has partnered up with Candid Career, which has led to two major updates. The first is an improved viewing experience for your students!

Now, all of the specific sections of Candid Career interviews are housed in one video post, with specific buttons to skip to the parts you want to learn more about, like ‘Job Description’, ‘Loves & Challenges’, etc. This means you can easily click from one clip to another, rather than having to search for the next clip in a separate post. This new update also more closely reflects the viewing experience within Candid Career, to give your students a more familiar experience! Click the button below to read more and see examples!

We made a small update to the language used in our Labor Market Insights module.

If you’re leveraging our Labor Market Insights module (powered by proprietary job market data sourced by Emsi), you may have noticed a small update to the language used to describe the critical skills necessary to succeed in a given career path. Previously, these skills were referred to as ‘Soft Skills’, but the language has been adjusted to read ‘Core Competencies’ to better reflect the essentiality and critical nature of these abilities.
